PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We provide current and former DPE members with resources and databases related to fellowships, internships, post-graduate careers, and funding opportunities through and outside of the university. Members of DPE have access to:

  • Database of international affairs and relevant post-grad fellowships

  • Database of alumni to connect current and former DPE members

  • Master sheet of internship opportunities in a variety of fields

  • USC study abroad, internship, and general course funding opportunities

  • Cover letter, resume, and interview examples and resources

  • Career mentorship opportunities and professional office hours

Delta Phi Epsilon provides opportunities and resources for members to enter into and thrive in any field of work. With resume workshops, guest speakers, mock interviews, LinkedIn photo shoots, alumni panels and an array of other events, DPE ensures that our members are prepared for the professional world after graduation.

Below are past events we have hosted! 

  • Professions of International Relations Symposium: Organized by Delta Phi Epsilon, in partnership with the USC Career Center, and the USC Department of Political Science and International Relations. Our semesterly career symposium is an in-person networking event for undergraduate students to meet professionals from all fields related to International Relations. In the past, we have hosted professionals with a background in IR pursuing careers in Foreign Service, Government, Consulting, Cyber Security, Academia, National Security, Global Health, Marketing, Public Relations and so many more. 

  • Alumni Panels: We host a variety of alumni panels for members to learn about their experiences after DPE and how to succeed in their field of work. Past alumni panels we have hosted include “All Things Fulbright”, “DPE Alum Meet & Greet”, “All Things Department of State”, “Journey to Georgetown Law”, and many more!

  • Opportunities in IR: A presentation catered for DPE members to be informed about internship opportunities, and DPE actives and alumni who have completed these programs.

  • Professional Office Hours: Our members can schedule office hours with our Director of Professional Development to go over their resumes, cover letters, or ask any career-related questions they may have.
